I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-08-XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING ANOKA AREA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION APPLICATION FOR PREMISE PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT McDUFF'S EATERY & PUB AND JR'S SALOON & FOOD IN RAMSEY WHEREAS, the Anoka Area Hockey Association has applied for a premise permits for gambling at McDuffs Eatery & Pub, 16659 NW St. Francis Blvd., JR's Saloon & Food, 6141 Highway 10 NW, Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the Anoka Area Hockey Association provides opportunities and services to the residents of Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and WHEREAS, the Anoka Area Hockey Association has requested Council waive the 30- day notice provision; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control B6ard Division of the Department of Gaming requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. NOW THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the Anoka Area Hockey Association to operate lawful gambling at McDuffs Eatery & Pub, 16659 NW St. Francis Blvd., and JR's Saloon'& Food, 6141 Highway 10 NW, Ramsey. 2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent:
