The above will result in a remaining Council Contingency of $5,750. It is expected that about
$5,000 of our contracted costs will occur from within economic development districts. While
those expenditures are not tax increment eligible, the City does maintain a non-tax increment
development fund from which these expenses are eligible. Finally, the insurance reserve fund is
set up to provide for calamity resulting from losses in property/casualty areas of the operation.
Activity within the fights-of-way, perceived as hazards, are reasonable expenses against this
fund.

It should be noted that the affected communities in Anoka County are pursuing FEMA
reimbursement. Anoka County has submitted the request and meets the criterion for funding.
We do not know, however, if funding will, in fact, be granted.

Council Action: j
Motion to adopt Resolution #97-08-\~'~/
operations.

approving a funding source for storm damage

Reviewed by:

City Administrator
Finance Officer
City Engineer
Public Works Supervisor

CC: 08/12/97

/jmt

I
I
I
'1
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
