CASE #: <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR A <br />TEMPORARY OFFICE STRUCTURE; CASE OF AMCOR PRECAST <br />By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In November of 1995, the City Council issued an interim use permit to Amcor for the use of a <br />modular office structure at 6640 Industry Avenue N.W. until June 30, 1997. The permit was <br />granted in response to Amcor's request to augment their office space while they take time to <br />assess their permanent space needs at the subject property. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Amcor has indicated that their sales are not at the desired volume and they are requesting an <br />additional 2 years to evaluate the permanency of their site. They have renewed a 2 year lease <br />with Royal Concrete Products, Inc. The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Draft Planning Commission meeting minutes dated 8/5/97 <br />Proposed findings of fact <br />Proposed interim use permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />State law requires notification of the public hearing to parcels within 350 feet of the subject <br />property. Staff sent notification to parcels within 500 feet of the subject property. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on August 5 and there were no verbal or <br />written comments received. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and City Staff recommend approval of the interim use permit for <br />another 24 month period. <br /> <br /> Council Action: '" <br /> -~a.d.o g~ ~_~rO~ <br /> Motion to: - ,e~ - ~ <br /> Adopt Resolution #97-08 .. ptin indings of Fact # elating to a request for an <br /> interim use permit for the continued use of a temporary structure from Amcor. <br /> <br /> Motion to: <br /> Approve/deny the re_q~u~t for a temporary structure from Amcor Precast and adopt <br /> Resolution #97~0~e,~cl[¥~ng terms of Interim Use Permit. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: City Attorney <br />CC: 08/26/97 <br /> <br />/55 <br /> <br /> <br />
