It may be moved off-site, or it may be possible <br />to work out an agreement with the City regarding the development south of 153rtl Street. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Jensen to amend and adopt the <br />findings of fact in the afl,_ rmative. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Thomd. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Request for A Conditional Use Permit for A Personal Communication <br />Service Tower; Case of American Portable Telecom (APT) <br /> <br />In response to the issue oflandseaping raised in the public hearing, Planning Intern Skoog stated that <br />the planned red cedar trees must be at least 5 feet in height to comply with the City Code. Also, there <br />is a minimum 35-foot setback in the B-1 Business District from a residential boundary. The proposed <br />site is 20 feet from the residential boundary, and the proposed tower is an additional 10 feet away. <br />Therefore, the tower must be shifted another 5 feet to the east. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer noted that another phase of shopping center development is being planned in <br />that location. He asked how this tower would impact it. <br /> <br />Zoning. Administrator Frolik stated that the property owner has not indicated a conflict with the <br />tOWeL <br /> <br />Planning Intern Skoog stated that Rum River Plaza was originally to be developed on one parcel. <br />However, there were spacing problems w/th the septic system and the smaller residential parcel to <br />the south was acquired but never rezoned to commercial. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/August 5, 1997 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
