CASE # <br /> <br />1997 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br /> By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The 1997 Street Maintenance Program work has now been completed, and it is now time to <br />declare the costs, prepare the proposed assessments and order the public hearings. The public <br />hearing date needs to be set on September 23, 1997 in order to allow ample time for the Finance <br />Department to prepare the assessments (which are not paid within the 30 day allowance) for the <br />County's tax rolls. The unpaid assessments are due at the County by November 14, 1997. The <br />final costs were received this morning. These resolutions need to be passed tonight in order to <br />meet the two week minimum publication notice of the public hearings which is required by State <br />Statute. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Adopt Resolutions #97-08-XXX through 97-08-XXX declaring cost'to be assessed and ordering <br />preparation of proposed assessment for Improvement Projects #97~01 through #97-17, exclusive <br />of#97-14. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Adopt Resolutions #97-08-XXX through #97-08-XXX calling for a public hearing on proposed <br />assessment for Improvement Projects #97-01 through #97-17, exclusive of #97-14. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />CC: 08/26/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
