VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER APPOINTMENTS <br />By: Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />There are cun'ently three vacancies in the Fire Department and six people on the list of eligible <br />candidates. The Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief and Administrative Services Manager are <br />recommending that positions be offered to the following three individuals, based on their ranking <br />on the list, time spent on the list, and hours available to respond to calls: Brian Abbott, Jason <br />LaCrosse and Carey Schiferli. Employment would be contingent on successfully passing a <br />physical examination, physical agility test, driver's license check, and background check. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that Council authorize staff to hire Brian Abbott, Jason LaCrosse and <br />Carey Schiferli as Volunteer Firefighters, contingent on passing the required physical <br />examination, physical agility test, driver's license check and background check/ <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br /> <br />PC 08/26/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
