I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION//97-09- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS CONVEY THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR <br />PUBLIC USE: P.I.N. 26-32-25-42-0017, AND SELL P.I.N. 01-32-25-14-0038 TO THE ABUTTING <br />PROPERTY OWNER. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution providing authority under <br />Chapter 282 of Minnesota Statutes for public sale of land situated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of <br />Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized town <br />with a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by the Council of each <br />City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved classification sale if the <br />County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within ninety (90) days of the date <br />requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing body; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town or <br />municipality by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall, within ninety (90) days of the requested <br />classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to withhold the parcel from public sale for one <br />year. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That Anoka County withhold from public sale and convey to the City of Ramsey the properties known as <br />P.I.N. 26-32-25-42-0017 for use as open space and drainage. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Anoka County sell the property known as P.I.N. 01-32-25-14-0038 to the abutting property owner of <br />the property identified as P.I.N. 01-32-25-14-0024. <br /> <br />3) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duiy passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of <br />September, 1997. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Sq <br /> <br /> <br />
