Three digital temperature indicators will be located inside the storage building, and three will be located inside the main building, along with audible and visual temperature level signals at each location. In addition, temperatures will be monitored remotely by Vision- Ease's security/fire alarm system monitoring provider. The building will be electrically heated to maintain a minimum interior temperature of approximately 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and will have a thermostatically controlled exhaust fan to provide ventilation during the summer months. Draft Planning Commission meeting minutes dated 9/2/97 Proposed development permit The Planning Commission reviewed the site plan on September 2 and recommended approval. Recommendation: Code requires building exteriors to be natural or artificial stone unless otherwise approved by Council. The Planning Commission is recommending approval of the metal building as proposed as it will be screened on 3 sides by an earth berm that exceeds the height of the building. The only exposed part of the building will be the entrance on the north wall. The Planning Commission also recommends that the berm be landscaped. Council Action: Motion to: Approve/deny the site plan proposed by Vision Ease for an accessory structure intended for the storage of hazardous chemicals with an exterior finish as determined by City Council and a landscape plan subject to the approval of the City.
