I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br /> RECEIVE BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACT FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF ALPINE PARK (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #97-21) <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />It has been the intention to construct Alpine Park with funds generated through the sale of City- <br />owned property. The improvements for the first phase of development include four ball fields, a <br />soccer field, and aparking area. The improvement also includes grading to create wetland on the <br />western end of the property which will be utilized for wetland replacement credits where wetland <br />needs to be filled as a result of economic development or transportation projects. Bids for the <br />project will be opened on Friday, September 5, 1997. <br /> <br />At the time of this writing, two issues are pending resolution. First, the closing on the land for <br />Alpine Addition must occur. To date, this has been delayed due to title problems.
