Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-09- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #97-21 (CONSTRUCTION OF ALPINE PARK) <br /> <br />FOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Alpine Park <br />(Improvement Project #97-21), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on <br />September 5, 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. <br />W. B. Miller, Inc. <br />Rohling Green Corporation <br />Glen Rehbein Excavating, Inc. <br /> <br />$323,691.00 <br />$335,740.75 <br />$344,952.90 <br />$357,315.00 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$310,000.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Alpine Park (Improvement Project #97-2 I) in the amount of $323,691.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ali bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember' <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
