CASE #

REQUEST FOR FINAL PLAT APPROVAL OF
BUSINESS PARK 95 6TH ADDITION; CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY
By: Zoning Administrac'or Sylvia Frolik

Background:

The City of Ra~sey is in the process of platting two lots, one of which will facilitate the site plan
for Wolf and ACsociates approved by the City Council on September 9, 1997. The area to be
platted is generally north of McKinley Street and east of Unity Street. The following items are
enclosed for your review:

a)
b)
c)
d)

Site location map
Proposed f'mal plat
City Staff Review Letter dated September 23, 1997
Proposed resolution for f'mal plat approval

Observations:

The plat consistS of creating one 4 acre lot, one 2.6 acre lot and one outlot from Lot 1, Block 2,
Business Park 95 2nd Addition. The 4 acre lot will be developed by Wolf and Associates and the
City will retain Lot 2 and the outlot. The lots will receive public access from Unity Street. Both
of the lots exceed the minimum area and dimensional requirements for the Industrial District. A
cash contribution will be required to satisfy park dedication requirements.

The proposed plat is the division of platted property and as such is classified as a minor
subdivision. City Code does not require Planning Commission review of minor subdivisions,
however, staff has presonted these subdivisions to the Commission as a courtesy. Because
timing is crucial in this case, the proposed plat was not submitted to the Planning Commission
for the usual courtesy review.

Recommendation:

City Staff recommends final plat approval.

Council Action:
Motion to:
Adopt Resolution #97-09-
Addition.

granting fmai plat approval to Business Park 95 6th

Review Checklist:
City Engineer
City Administrator
CC: 09/23/97
