The primary garage shall be at least 400 square feet in size. <br />2 If the accessory building is closer to the front property line than the principal building, then the <br />construction must have the same general design and materials as the home or with metal panels as <br />outlined in this Section. <br />SECTION 3 SUMMARY <br />The following official summary of Ordinance #11 -08 has been approved by the City Council of <br />the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. <br />It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #11 -08 to amend Ramsey City Code Chapter 117 (Zoning <br />and Subdivision of Land) Section 117 -349 (Accessory Structures) to: <br />• Provide separate standards for the R -1 Residential (MUSA) and R -1 Residential (Rural <br />Developing) zoning districts to reflect land use descriptions in the 2030 Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />• Exclude attached garages from square footage calculations <br />• Provide flexibility in use of metal panel structures by providing additional architectural <br />standard clarification <br />• Provide for flexibility for detached accessory structures when located along riparian Lots <br />within environmental overlay districts <br />SECTION 4 EFFECTIVE DATE <br />4 If the accessory building is closer to the front property line than the principal building, then the <br />height of the accessory building cannot exceed the height of the principal building or 22 feet, <br />whichever is more restrictive. <br />The effective date of this ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to <br />City Charter Section 5.07. <br />Adopted by the Ramsey City Council the 14 day of June, 2011. <br />Ordinance #11 -08 <br />Page 11of <br />
