Other surface water flooding 'or high water areas should be
determined by local information.

Valve Box is any device which can stop sewage tanl~ effluent from
flowing to a portion of the soil treatment area, and includes but is not l~m~ted to
caps or plugs on d~stribution or drop box outlets, divider boards, butterfly valves,
gate valves or other mechanisms.
Water Table is the highest elevation in the soil 'where all voids are
filled with water, as evidenced by presence of water or soil mottling or other
informati on.

Season~Uy t~igh Water Table is a perched water table or a saturated
soil condition whfch occurs during wet seasons of the year.

Normal (or Ora~nary) High Water Mark is a mark delineating the
highest water level which has been maintained for a s~ff~c~ent period of time to
leave evidence upon the landscape. The normal high water mark is commonly
that point where the natural vegetation changes from predominantly aquatic to
predom~nandy terrestrial.

Watertight is when constructed so that no extarnal water can enter.

Water Usage shah be estimated by the best current available data
provided by the agency if actual measurements are unavailable.

$.30.03 Permi~

SubdlvisionL No person, firm or corporation shall install, alter,
repair or extend any individual sewage d~sposal system in the City without ~_rst
obtaining a perm/t therefore from the council or its authorized representative for
the specific installation, alteration, repair or extension, and at the time of applying

Printed 12/28/90

Page 239
