§ $.30 <br /> <br />Pa~e 2.44 <br /> <br /> aeration compartment. The trash trap shall have a net <br /> holdin~ capacity of net less than 20% of the average daily <br /> flow. The invert level to the trap shall be above the liquid <br /> level and discharge directly into the trap. The outlet <br /> from the trap to the aeration compartment shall be deep <br /> baf~ed or equipped with tee or long ell. <br /> c) The trash trap shall be readily accessible for inspection <br /> and effective cleaning and shall be so constructed as to <br /> prevent ~mauthorized entry. --. <br /> d) The aeration compartment shall have a minimum <br /> holding capacity of 500 gallons or 120 gallons per <br /> bedroom, which ever is greater. <br /> e) The method of aeration shall be accomplished by <br /> mechanical aeration, diffused air, or both. The method <br /> used shall maintain aerobic conc~tions at ail times. <br /> f) The settling compartment shall have a minimum net <br /> holding capacfty equal to'20% of the volume of the <br /> aeration compartment. The design shall provide for <br /> effective settling mud continuous return of settled sludge <br /> to the aeration compartment. <br /> g) A ~nirn~rn one year warranty and an initial two year <br /> service contract which specified regular inspection calls <br /> ~nd efifluent quality checks shall be provided as a part of <br /> the purchase agreement. <br /> h) All other features of the aerobic tanks not specifically <br /> mentioned above shall comply with National Sanitation <br /> Foundation Standard No. 40 (November, 1970). <br />Capacity.
