Among the expectations <br />established during the appointment process were the following points to be incorporated into the <br />Chief's work plan: <br /> <br />a. Updating the Police Department Policy Manual. <br /> <br />b. Developing an initial reaction plan for the Police Department to respond to <br /> emergencies, in conjunction with other responsible agencies. <br /> <br />c. Realigning work assignments in the Police Department to increase effectiveness. <br /> <br />d. Devising a plan to strengthen community oriented policing in Ramsey. <br /> <br />e. Developing a plan for regular communication between the Police Chief and the <br /> Council and the between the Police Chief and other City department heads. <br /> <br />f. Developing a plan for the ~s continuing education and training. <br /> <br />Police Chief Gusta£son will be at the meeting to report on progress made towards meeting these <br />expectations.
