Because <br />the position will not be equivalent to the traditional CSO position, Council suggested we call it <br />something else. We are suggesting the title "Public Safety Aide." <br /> <br />The attached draf~ job description was developed jointly by the Administrative Services <br />Manager, Police Chief and one of the Police Sergeants. <br /> <br />This half-time position would begin after January 1, 1998. We would like to advertise the <br />position in mid-November so as to have someone in the position by the first week in January. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Receive and review the drat~ job description; revise if necessary.
