Form SG-O06 <br /> <br />SNOWMOBILE <br /> <br />SAFETY ENFORCEMENT GRANT <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> I <br />DATE OF AGREEMENrr ] AGENCY <br />October 15, 1997 t Rarnsey Police Department <br /> <br />AMOUNT OF PAYMENT <br />Si000.00 <br /> <br /> TEILM OF AGREEMENT <br />July 1, 1997 Through June31, 1998 <br /> <br />lis IS AGREEMENT, as per DATE OF AGREEMENT, between the STATE OF MINNESOTA, acting by and through the <br />)mmissioner of Natural Resources, hereafter referred to as the 'State", and above named Local Law Enforcement Agency, <br />:einafter referred to as the "Agency". <br /> <br />hereas, Under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 97A.205, Section 383.03, and Chapter 436, all law enforcement officers are <br />thor/zed to carry out the provisions of Chapter 84 and the Snowmobile Regulations Rules, hereinafter referred to as the "Minnesota <br />:les", promulgated by the Commissioner of Natural Resources, including patrol and enforcement of the snowmobile rules and <br />~mlations, ali hereinafter referred to as "Local Law Enforcement Agency Duties"; and <br /> <br />hereas, in connection with Local Law Enforcement Agency Duties, the Local Law Enforcement Agency. must submit to the <br />:parWnent of Natural Resources, Division of Enforcement, a budget to carry, out the Local Law Enforcement Agency Duties; and <br /> <br />hereas, Under the provisions of Laws of Minnesota 1997, Chapter 216, Section 5, Subdivision 8, the Department of Natural <br />:sources, Division of Enforcement is authorized to grant funding to local law enforcement agencies for the purpose of snowmobile <br />~v enforcement activities above and beyond current levels of snowmobile law enforcement; and <br /> <br />hereas, The Local Law Enforcement Agency has submitted a proposed budget to perform the Local Law Enforcement Duties to the <br />.~te which is attached hereto as Form SG~009. <br /> <br />DW, THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows: <br /> <br /> (DUTIES) The Local Law Enforcement Agency shall perform the Local Law Enforcement Agency Duties as defined herein. <br />aese duties include enforcing all snowmobile statutes, regulations and rules, including but not limited to alcohol related offenses and <br />,gal operation of snowmobiles. Work efforts are to be coordinated with Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officers. <br /> operation budget (SG-009) and ali reports (SG-002 & SG-003) are to be completed and submitted to the State. <br /> <br />(TERM) This agreement shall be effective under Term of Agreement as stated above. Funds not expended by the later date shall <br />returned to the State. In no case will expenses incurred outside of this agreement be funded by the State. <br /> <br /> ~? ~ YMENT) The State shall advance th-. Local Law Enforcement Agency. the Amount of Pa.wnen.t as stated above for the <br />?i~ es stated in Laws of Minnesota 199'/, Chapter 2 I6, Section 5, Subdivision 8. Further detail on allowable expenses is stated in <br />: ::;/able Expenditures under the Snowmobile Safety Enforcement Program" (Form SO-004), attached to this document and <br />~0qa°ratecl herein. <br /> <br />(REPORTS) The Local Law Enforcement Agency shall promptly subrn/t reports on both activities and expenditures when <br />quested by the State. <br /> <br />(RECORDS) The boo'ks, records, documents, and accounting procedures, and practices of the Local Law Enforcement Agency <br />levant to this grant shall be subject to examination by contracting department, as well as the legislative and state auditors. Records <br />all be suffic/ent to reflect all costs incurred in performance ofthis grant. <br /> <br />(EQUIPMENT) The title to ail items of equipment purchased with funds from this grant shall remain with the Local Law <br />tforcement Agency.
