I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I i I I I PERSONNEL COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Personnel Committee of the City of Ramsey conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, September 23, 1997, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Sheila Beyer Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen Also Present: Councilmember Carolyn Beahen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman City Administrator Ryan Schroeder Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith Finance Officer Jessie Hart CALL TO ORDER Councilmember Beyer called the special meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 6:00 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT Councilmember Haas Steffen asked that Councilmembers be introduced at City functions, such as the Comprehensive Plan Visioning Meetings. She also asked that Council be made aware ahead of time if they are to be participants in discussions, such as at the Comp Plan meetings, etc. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case #1: Review Committee for City Administrator Applications Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith stated that at the special meeting to discuss how to fill the City Administrator's vacancy, staff was directed to establish a committee to review applications for the impending vacancy in the City Administrator position and make a recommendation to Council for interviews. She reported the two people she has contacted to serve on this committee along with her are Bill Hunt who is Assistant to the City Manager of Fridley, and Melanie Ault who is the Human Resources Manager for Anoka County. Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested asking Jerry Splinter, City Administrator for the City of Coon Rapids, to be on the committee also. Personnel Committee/September 23, 1997 Page 1 of 3
