Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-10-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE I-TON TRUCK WITH DUMP BOX WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of October 28, 1997, staff presented a request for the purchase of one I-ton truck with dump box as an addition to the fleet; and WHEREAS, included in the 1997 Adopted General Fund Budget was the purchase of one 1-ton truck with dump box at a total price of $25,000.00; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the purchase of the truck through the Hermepin County Purchasing Cooperative meets all statutory bidding requirements; and WHEREAS, Superior Ford was awarded the contract for supplying the 1997 light trucks at a pr/ce of $t9,164.00 plus tax and license; and WHEREAS, Superior Ford will also supply the dump box manufactured by Crysteel Truck and Equipment at a price of $4,150.00 plus tax; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed in this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of one 1-ton truck with dump box fi'om Superior Ford at a price not to exceed $24,930.00 plus license.
