I BRUSH CHIPPING BIDS <br /> By: William K. Goodrich, city Attorney <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As directed at your October 14, 1997 meeting, the City advertised <br />for bids for our brush chipping project. One bid was received on <br />October 31, 1997 from the Ceres Company. However, Council members <br />will recall that at the Council meeting on October 28, 1997, <br />because of the issues revolving around the SMC Company and a <br />previously signed contract with that company, the Council <br />determined to reject all bids to be received on October 31, 1997. <br />Please refer to the cases on this subject in both your October 14 <br />and October 28, 1997 agendas. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br />'! <br /> I <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />To reject the bid received from Ceres Company on October 31, 1997 <br />and apologize to Ceres for this inconvenience. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Reject Ceres Company's bid for brush chipping received on October <br />31, 1997 and direct Staff to write a letter of apology to Ceres <br />Company for its inconvenience. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
