§ 8.3 0 Sevea.ge disl o systems <br />for said permit, shall pay a fee therefore of $15.00. Such permits shall be valid for a <br />period of six: months from date of issue. <br />Sub& 2. Applications for permits shall be made in writing upon <br />printed blanks or forms furnished by the council and shall be signed by the <br />applicant. <br />S`ub& 3. Each application for a permit shall have thereon the correct <br />legal description of the property on which the proposed installation; alteration, <br />repair or extension is to take place, and each application for a permit shall be <br />accompanied by a plot plan of the land showing the location of any proposed or <br />existing buildings located on the property with respect to the boundary lines of the <br />property and complete plans or the proposed system with substantiating data, if <br />necessary, attesting to the compliance with the minimum standards of this <br />chapter. A complete plan shall include the location, size and design of all parts of <br />the system to be installed, altered, repaired or extended. The application shall also <br />show the present or proposed location of water supply facilities and water supply <br />piping and the name of the person, firm or corporation who is to install the system, <br />and shall provide such further information as may be required by the council. <br />8.30.04 Construction requirements. <br />Subdivision l.. Site evaluation.. All proposed sites for individual <br />sewage treatment systems shall be evaluated by the Ramsey Plumbing Inspector in <br />accordance with §9.13 (Soils) and §9.50 (Subdivision). <br />Subd. 2. Building sewers <br />a. The building sewer and all piping up to the point where the <br />disposal field soil treatment area begins shall be of watertight <br />piping and joints. Joints between this piping and other <br />appurtenances of the system shall be watertight. The use of <br />perforated pipe or its equivalent is prohibited <br />b. No building drain or building sewer shall be less than h inches in <br />diameter. <br />C. The buried or concealed portion of any building sewer, building <br />drain or branch thereof shall be located at least 20 feet from any <br />well. That portion located less than 50 feet from any well shall be <br />constructed of cast iron pipe with air tested joints. The air test <br />should be made by attaching an air compressor or test apparatus <br />to a suitable opening and closing all other inlets and outlets to the <br />sewer and/or drain under test by means of proper testing plugs. <br />Air shall be forced into the sy-stem until there is uniform pressure <br />of 5 pounds per square inch in the section being tested. The <br />system sh,91.1. be considered satisfactorily air tested if the pressure <br />therein remains constant for 15 minutes without the addition of <br />air. <br />Page ?-40 Printed 1? 128!90 <br />/94' <br />
