1 <br />1 <br />I <br />u <br />a <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, October 7, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request to rezone certain property from B-1 Business to B-2 Business and R-3 Urban <br />Residential, Case of Rademacher Companies, Inc. <br />Members Present <br />Members Absent <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Also Present: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Bawden convened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. <br />PRESENTATION <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the application is to rezone property at the southeast corner <br />of the intersection of 153rd Avenue and Highway 47 from B-1 Business to B-2 Business and R-3 <br />Urban Residential. The application includes a subdivision plan to split the property into two lots. <br />The northwest corner will be Lot 1 to be rezoned as B-2 to accommodate a convenience store with <br />I gas sales. A small portion of what is to be platted as Outlot A is currently zoned B-1 and is proposed <br />to be rezoned R-3 to be developed in the future with the remainder of the property that is zoned R-3. <br />The City is currently under a moratorium for rezoning residential land. The proposal to rezone from <br />13-1 to B-2 can be acted upon, but rezoning to R-3 can only go as far as the first reading of the <br />ordinance at the Council level. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/October 7, 1997 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
