Staff Updates <br /> <br />Building Projects: The City has recently proposed on a 150,000 square <br />foot computer hard drive manufacturer to be located in the AEC Energy Park. <br />This proposal was a joint effort between the City, AEC and Kraus-Anderson to <br />develop a complete building project. The company will be contacting the site <br />finalists within the next 6 months to arrange site visits and f-anal selection. The <br />company is currently developing the next generation of hard drives. In addition <br />the City has tentatively reach agreement with Northstar Die Casting to construct <br />a 30,000 square foot facility in the Ramsey Business Park. The AEC facility <br />should be completed during February with an open house should for the week <br />of February 25th. <br /> <br />Marketing Plans: Attached to the agenda for tonight's meeting is a <br />copy of the 1997 marketing brochure for both AEC and the City's industrial <br />parks. This brochure will be used for mass mailings and distribution to <br />businesses requesting information about the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Concrete Property: The City is continuing the negotiations with the <br />owners of the concrete property. The City has developed a memorandum of <br />understanding with the parmership that will be purchasing the property. This <br />memorandum may used as a basis for future park developments. <br /> <br /> <br />
