Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:08 p.m., in order to <br /> conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br /> Public Hearing <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br /> Presentation <br /> <br /> City Engineer Jankowski announced this hearing is for Improvement Project ~'97-03 Tiger Street. <br /> Citizen Input <br /> <br /> Vernon Brand, 17045 Tiger Street NW, Ramsey, stated he has lived off of Tiger Street for about <br /> 30 years and he does not understand why City staff feels they have to spend a lot of money on this <br /> road. It seems the slight cracks could just be repaired. He inquired why something isn't done at <br /> the end of Armstrong instead. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jankowski explained that the sealcoating option is a preventative maintenance. It's meant to be <br /> applied before the roads become weakened. In response to the question about Armstrong, he <br /> stated that the section Mr. Brand is talking about is a county road and not the City's jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Haas Steffen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman.
