Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Status of Requests for Proposals and Contract for Curbside Recycling Program <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to direct staff to <br />continue with the process of requesting proposals for the provision of the curbside recycling <br />program for a minimum three-year contract. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Authorize Staff to Enter into Agreement with Insurance Agent of Record for Year <br />Beginning December 15, 1997 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize staff to <br />enter into an agreement with T.C. Field & Company to serve as the City's insurance agent of <br />record for one year, beginning December 15, I997, for a fee of $3,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting no; None. <br /> <br />5) Receive Recommendations for Exempt Salary Increases <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to increase <br />the exempt employees salaries by 1%, retroactive to January 1, 1997, except for the positions of <br />the Police Chief and the two sergeants who were promoted to these positions in 1997, and the <br />position of City Engineer because he received a larger increase earlier in the year. The other 1% <br />set aside for exempt employee increases will be used instead to hire a consultant to advise on a <br />pay for performance plan for exempt employees. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
