CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />SWEARING IN OF MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich performed the swearing in of Mayor Tom Gamec and Councilmembers <br />Natalie Haas Steffen and Gerald Zimmerman. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY MAYOR GAMEC <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec read a resolution thanking the former Mayor Glen Hardin and former <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson for their years of service and dedication to the City/Citizens of <br />Ramsey. He then presented Mr. Hardin and Mr. Peterson with the resolutions. <br /> <br />COMMENDATION FOR POLICE OFFICER JIM SINGEWALD <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos read a letter of commendation for Police Officer Jim Singewald and presented <br />him with a resolution proclaiming same for his service to the community by initiating and working <br />on the D.A.R.E. hou'se, the sale profit ..of which went to Ramsey D.A.R.E. and Minnesota <br />D.A.R.E. <br /> <br />Mol/on by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~97-01-001 commending Officer James Singewald. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmem]an, Beahen and <br />Haas Steffen. Voting No: None.
