The sv~mm]ng pool or spa shall be designed, constructed and sited in such a way as to limit noise generated by its mechanical equipment and so as not to permit such equipment from creating a nuisance and/or nWect the reasonable use and enjoyment of adjacent property owners. The sw~m~n~ng pool and/or spa shn11 be sited on the parcel so that its mechanical equipment, including heating and filtering equipment is located at least 30 feet from the inh~bited portion of neighboring resident{aa structures. 8.21.09 Lighting. Lights used in conjunction with a swimming pool and/or spa shall be located and constructed so as to deflect away from adjacent property And in such a manner that they do not create a nuisance or affect the reasonable use and enjoy~nent of adjacent property. 8.21.10 Pool w~]lcway d~ck ~n d deck drains. Unobstructed deck area not less than 48 inches wide shall be provided to extend entirely around each in ground sv~imm~ng pool. Sv~mm~ng pool decks shall be constructed above, but not more thnn 9 inches above, the nonnaa water Hne. The deck area shall be constructed of impervious material, and the surface shall be such as to be smooth and easily cleaned mud of non-slip construction. The deck shall have a pitch of at least 1/4- inch to the foot, designed so as to prevent back drainage into the pool. If deck drains are provided, drain pipe lines shall be at least 2 inches in cl/nrneter; drain openings shall have an open area of at ]east four times the cross-sectional area of the drain pipe. Deck drMns shall not be connected to the recirculation system pipe. ] ] ] 8.21.11 Swimming pool cl_rninnge. To the extent feasible, back flush water or water from pool drs{nage shall be on the owner's property or into approved public drainage waYs. Water shall not drain onto adja.cent or nearby private land. 8.21.12 Eleckrical requirements.
