§ <br /> <br /> 6. Ssnltary tees shall be bonded to the inlet or outlet pipe. <br /> Ba~es shall be integrally cast with the ~k, afSxed with a <br /> permanent waterproof adhesive, or aftixed with stainless <br /> steel con_hectors, top ~nd bottom. <br /> <br /> 7. The in]et baffle shall extend at least 6 inches, but not more <br /> than 20% of the tots] liquid depth below the liquid surface and <br /> at least 1 Lnch above the crown of the in]et sewer. <br /> <br /> 8. The outlet baffle and the baftles between compartments shall <br /> extend below the liquid surface a distance equal to 40% of the <br /> liquid depth, except that the penetration of the indicated <br /> baffles or sanitary tees for horizontal cylindrical tanks shall <br /> be 35% of the total liquid deptt~ They also shall extend above <br /> the liquid surface as required in 4 above. In no case shall <br /> they extend ]ess than 6 inches above the liquid surface. <br /> <br />9. There shall be at ]east 1 inch between the underside of the top <br /> of the tar~k mud the highest point of the inlet and outlet <br /> devices. <br /> <br /> 10. The inlet iuvert shall be not less than 8 inches above the <br /> outlet invert. <br /> <br /> 11. There shall be one or more manholes, at least 20 inches in <br /> dimension, and located within 6 feet of any wall of the tank. <br /> The manhole shsJ] extend to a point v~thin 12 inches of, but <br /> no c/oser than 6 inches below, ~n~shed grade. The manhole <br /> cover shell be covered with at least 6 inches o£ earth. <br /> <br />14. There shall be an inspection pipe of at least 4 inohes <br /> diameter or a manhole over both the in]et and outlet devices. <br /> The inspection pipe sh. al] extend through the cover, and be <br /> flush with, or no m6re than 6 inches below', the finished <br /> grade. The top of the inspection pipe shall be provided with a <br /> readily removable water-tight cap.
