LiabLli~-y. The pl-mbing inspector or any employee charged <br /> with the enforcement of this Chapter of the City, actir~ in good faith and without <br /> malice for the discharge of his duties, shall not thereby render himself liable <br /> personally, and he is hereby relieved from all persona] liability for any dRmage that <br /> may accrue ~ persons or property as a result of ~ny act required or by reason of any <br /> act or omission in the discharge of his duties. The plnrnbing inspector <br />authority may request, and shall receive so far as may be necessary in the <br />discharge of his duties, the assistance and cooperation of the other officials of the <br />City of Ram~ey. <br /> <br /> SuBcL 4. Appeals. Appeals from the plumbing inspector's decision <br />and requests for variances as to any provisions of this chapter may be made to the <br />l~mms.ey Oity Council. The City Oo-ncil may Kr~nt a variance to the strict terms or <br />requirements of this chapter as it ~fFects speelf]c tracts of land [fit l~uds: <br /> <br /> a. It is shown by reason of topography or other physihal conditions <br /> that strict compliance with the chapter's requirements could <br /> cause an exceptional snd undue hardship to the enjoyment of a <br /> substantial property right; <br /> <br /> b. By the ETantin~ of the variaz~ce, the spirit and intent of the <br /> chapter vcLll not be adversely ~f~ected; <br /> <br /> c. That the variance v~il] not be injurious to the health and/or <br /> general welfare of: <br /> <br /> 1. the users of the system for wh/ch the variance is sought, <br /> <br /> 2. the adjacent property owners, and <br /> <br /> 2. ' the general cornrn,n~ty as a whole; <br /> <br /> d.
