Cityapproval/denial is necessary under the State Statutes. The White Wind Wildlife
Society meets ~1 of the requirements which allows them to remain exempt from licensing,
primarily from the standpoint that the shot gun to be raffled is valued at less than $750.00.

While the Game Fair is a number of months away, the White Wind Wildlife Society is currently
submitting a similar application to the Gambling Control Board through the City of Roseville for
a raffle to take place in the near future. By submitting both applications at the same time, it
saves the Society. from paying duplicate fees and requires only one background check by the
Board, again saving the Society fees.

Approval requires nothing more than a motion followed by a letter to the Gambling Control
Board, while if the request is denied, a formal resolution for denial would need to be prepared
and submitted to the Gambling Control Board.
