Two letters of interest were received and <br />reviewed at the Commission meeting on December 7, 1995. One candidate was imerviewed on <br />December 7, 1995 and the other on January 4, 1996. <br /> <br />The terms of Commissioner Sam McGhee and David Kent expire January 31, 1996. The <br />Commission decided at its January 4, 1996 meeting to recommend reappointment of David Kent <br />for a term to expire January 31, 1998, and against reappointment of Sam McGhee due to his <br />attendance record. As a result, an additional vacancy was created. <br /> <br />The Commission is recommending that the two applicants for Economic Development <br />Commission vacancies be appointed to terms which would expire January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />Commission Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commmission recommends that David Kent be reappointed for a <br />term to expire January 31, 1998; that Sam McGhee not be reappointed to the Commission when <br />his term expires January 31, 1996; and that James A. Rohrer and Judy Roff be appointed to the <br />Commission for terms that expire January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to reappoint David Kent to the Economic Development commission for a term to expire <br />January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Motion to not reappoint Sam McGhee to the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Motion to appoint James A. Rohrer to the Economic Development Commission for a term to <br />expire January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
