The <br />investgafion will be done and the Council will be kept advised all along the way. <br /> <br />Bob Carlson, 6937 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, in response to Mrs. Martinson, stated "if <br />we served your son, we are sorry. We would like to say we take serving minors and over- <br />serving very seriously". He informed Council that they hire primarily experienced, <br />responsible, full-time help. On the night of October 6, 1995, the two bartenders (25 <br />years), two servers (4), one doorman (11) and manager (3) had a combined 43 years of <br />experience with no violations. He explained that they require each of their employees to <br />attend an alcOhol awareness seminar which teaches them how to properly serve alcohol. <br />The classes also teach the ramifications of over serving and serving minors. He continued <br />that they are members of the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association and its preventative <br />programs. They are also members of the Anoka County Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued pertaining to the investigation. Councilmember Beahen inquired when <br />it may be completed to which Chief Auspos replied that it would take a week or two, <br />depending upon the availability of the persons needed for interviewing. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmcmber Pcterson and seconded by Councilmember Bcyer to table any <br />action on this case until the investigation is complete. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-3 Highway <br />Business to R-I Urban Residential; Case of L.A.N.D. <br />Properties <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that at the last meeting, Council introduced an ordinance <br />rezoning a p~a't of PIN 34-32-25-14-0017 lying south of Riverdale Drive from B-3 <br />Highway Business to R-1 Urban Residential. That ordinance is being presented for formal <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Ordinance #95-16 to rezone the subject property from B-3 Highway Business to R-1 <br />Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Peterson, <br />Beahen and Beyer. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review for an Expansion to Bjorklund <br />Ready Mix <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Bjorldund Ready Mix has applied for site plan <br />review for a 3,300 square foot expansion to their facility at 6100 Industry Avenue NW <br />When reviewing expansions of existing facilities, the City also has the opportunity to <br />requ. ire that any deficiency in site improvements be brought into compliance with current <br />zoning codes.: She explained that there are some extenuating circumstances which deserve <br />some consideration that have delayed the development of the site plan for Bjorklunds. <br />Bjorklund's found it necessary to expand their outdoor operations on their site, which <br /> <br />City Council/October 24, 1995 <br /> Page 7 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
