It should be noted that residential land use adjacent to highways will usually result in complaints regarding traffic noise. Traffic noise at this location could exceed Noise Standards established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Anoka County policy regarding new developments adjacent to existing County Highways prohibits the expenditure of highway funds for noise mitigation measures.. The City and/or the Developer should assess the noise situation and take any actxon deemed necessary to minimi:ze associated impacts at this site from any traffic noise.
