Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />NotificatiOn: <br /> <br />The City currently owns the property affected so no additional notification is required. <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has acquired the property located along the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks <br />west of .Sunfish Lake Boulevard and south of the gravel roadway known as McKinley <br />Street to provide for the extension of the water and sewer utilities west to the new Anoka <br />Electric Cooperative facility. We purchased this property from Don Greenberg. With the <br />completion of the extension of these lines, the City has additional property available for <br />Commercial/!rndustrial development. The City has identified a local business that is <br />interested in expanding and developing a new facility on this site. <br /> <br />As Council is aware, our Charter requires that an ordinance is passed prior to sale of any <br />City-owned property. Attached for your review and consideration, is an ordinance which <br />will allow for the sale of the following parcels: <br /> <br />Parcel A: <br /> <br />That pan of the West 66 feet of the East 946 feet of the North 662.68 feet of <br />Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision No. 30 lying Southerly of the Plat of Gateway <br />North Industrial Park Plat 2; together with the part of said North 662.68 feet <br />lying West of the said East 946 feet, lying East of the East line of Lot 2 <br />Auditor's Subdivision No. 30, and lying Southerly of the Southeasterly <br />extension of the Northeasterly line of said Lot 2 to the West line of said East <br />946 feet (all distances measured along North and East lines of said Lot 1) <br />except that pan platted as Anoka County Highway Right-of-Way Plat No. <br />1. <br /> <br />Parcel B: <br /> <br />Lot 9 and that part of Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision No. 30 lying <br />Southwesterly of the following described Line A; Commencing at a point on <br />the East line of said Lot 1, 1295 feet South of the Northwest comer thereof, <br />said point being the point of beginning of Line A, thence North 67 degrees <br />47 minutes West to the East line of LOt 2, of said Auditor's Subdivision and <br />there terminating; together with that part of said LOt 1 lying West of the East <br />880 feet thereof and lying South of the North 662.28 feet of said Lot 1 (as <br />measured along the North and East lines thereof).
