Our mission is to eliminate domestic violence by ensuring <br /> <br />· accountability from our community while providing support services to battered <br /> women and their children/youth through: safe, temporary emergency shelter, crisis <br /> <br />intervention, individual and systems advocacy, Support networks, education <br />for battered women and their children and youth and community education. The <br /> <br /> following services are designed to meet these goals: emergency shelter, crisis <br /> <br /> intervention, support groups for ~omen and children/youth, educational workshops, <br /> emmm. n~y prmmmntations, volunteer involvement, intervention services, hospital <br /> advocacy services and community advocacy services. <br />Amount of CDBG Funds Requested $ 2.500 <br /> <br />Specific Project Description: <br /> <br /> We are requesting these funds to be used to pay the cost of room and board for <br /> <br />battered women and their families who are not eligible to receive A.F.D.C. (Aid to <br /> <br />Families with Dependent Children) or general assistance payments. In 1996, the <br /> <br />cost per day per person is $85.17. <br /> <br /> <br />
