JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> FOR <br />CONTRACTUAL TOWING <br />FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> The City of Ramsey requests the services of a contractor to tow and store police <br /> impounded vehicles due to violations of city ordinance, to violations of a state statute, or <br />"for the safety of the public. <br /> <br />Areas of responsibility for the contractor: (Please acknowledge acceptance in area(s) <br />provided (yes or no). <br /> <br />The contractor shall arrive at a police scene to tow, remove, and store vehicles within <br />20 minutes of bein~ called by the Ramsey Police Department or by Central' <br />Communications. (y-n). , <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />The contractor must provide, for the use of the City of Ramsey, a minimum of 10 <br />storage stalls within an area secuPed by a solid wall or fence of such height sc; as to <br />prevent e~y access to the grounds. This area must be on the business premises or <br />immediately adjacent to same, and in no event shall be more than ten (10) miles from <br />the approximate center point of the City of Ramsey. The contractor must maintain a level of liability insurance as follows: <br /> <br />a) Commercial General Liability <br /> <br />The Contractor shall maintain at Contractor's own expense during the period from <br />commencement until final completion of the work under the contract, such public <br />liability and property damage insurance as shall protect the Contractor and any <br />subcontractor performing work covered by the contract, and shall name the City <br />as an additional insured, holding harmless and indemnifying the City from claims <br />or damages for personal injury, including accidental death and claims for property <br />damage which may arise from operations under this contract, whether such <br />Contractor, a subcontractor, or by anyone directly, or indirectly employed by <br />either of them, and including claims arising by reason of injury or damage <br />sustained after the Contractor has completed the work or vacated the site thereof. <br /> <br />The mounts of such Commercial general Liability shall be set as follows: <br /> <br />General Aggregate Limit: $1,200,000. <br />(other than products-Completed Operations) <br /> <br />Products and completed Operations Aggregate Limit: <br />$1,200,000 <br />01/02/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
