CASE <br /> <br />D.A.R.E. HOUSE PROJECT <br />By: Ryan R. Schroeder <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the past two meetings of Council, updates were provided on the D.A.R.E. house project. To <br />this point, however, Council has not granted formal approval to proceed. We are requesting this <br />action at this time. <br /> <br />At the last meeting Council had granted tentative approval upon approval of an agreement between <br />the parties by Attorney Goodrich. This agreement is not yet complete but it is expected that this <br />will be available soon. <br /> <br />Attached are materials related to this project. The cover is the proposed article for the Ramsey <br />Resident which is fairly descriptive of this project. <br /> <br />Jim Singewald has been receiving donations toward this project and it now appears that all <br />windows, HVAC; basement framing, first floor subfloor, lot surveying and staking, are covered. <br />Good Value will be providing a $35,000 walkout lot in Chestnut Ridge for $25,000. They have <br />offered to delay payment for the lot through the expected marketing period. Mr. Singewald <br />expects additional donations to be available soon towards appliances, concrete and block, tresses, <br />electrical and cash. <br /> <br />Given the above, with the assurance that Mr. Goodrich will be providing for relevant service and <br />purchase agreements (donated?) we request Council approval of this project. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize all activities necessary to complete construction of the Panel Technologies <br />D.A.R.E. house pursuant to the above. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 02/13/96 <br /> <br />/jmt <br /> <br /> <br />
