I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I CASE PROPOSED BITUMINOUS PAVING OF 151ST AVENUE, 152ND AVENUE AND FLUORINE STREET WEST OF TRUNK HIGHWAY #47 IN SECTION 24 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-20 By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer Background: Following a neighborhood informational meeting held on November 8, 1995, a petition was received on November 28, 1995, and certified on December 12, 1995, to provide bituminous pavement and drainage improvements to 151st Avenue, 152nd Avenue and Fluorine Street, west of Trunk Highway #47 in Section 24. A feasibility study describing these improvements and their f'mancing was p~resented to the Council on January 9, 1996. This feasibility report has been attached to this ease and has been sent to each property owner identified as being benefitted by this project along with the official public hearing notice. Previous to this case, a public hearing will be held on this project. As a result of comments at tonight's public hearing, Council shall determine whether any modifications should be made to the feasibility study which shall become the basis for constructing and financing the project. Citizens should be advised that they have 60 days from the date of the closing of the public hearing to present a petition signed by the majority of the benefitted properties opposing the improvement. If no such petition is received, the City Council will have the discretion on whether the project shall proceed onto construction at its April 23, 1996 meeting. Council Action: No action is required unless modifications to the feasibility study are requested.
