The park (location map attached) is undeveloped and soil is <br />largely comprised of sand. Bids must be received by Friday, April 12, 1996 at 3:00 p.m. (Vendor <br />should note ff installation cannot be completed by June 1,1996.) The following specifications <br />should guide the development of your bid. However, the City reserves the right to deviate from <br />these suggestions in any way. <br /> <br />Total cost for playground/equipment, including installation, tax and delivery, will not <br />exceed $32,000. The City will consider, within the budgeted $32,000, the addition of a <br />small shelter or gazebo. You may submit an alternate bid which includes this structure. <br /> <br />Will not consist of wood or materials susceptible to weathering, fading or vandalism. <br /> <br />Should contain a separate 6-bay swing, two bays having tot seats, 10-foot swing height <br />preferred. <br /> <br />Should include elements for all youth. <br /> <br />Should contain varying slide configurations with a strong preference for at least a 72-inch <br />slide and a double-wave slide. <br /> <br />· Should have elements for physically-challenged children which may include learning <br /> components such as spelling/math wheels. <br /> <br />· Should have a resilient surface connection from the transfer point through the buckshot/pea <br /> gravel (supplied by the City) to the location of the park path, suitable for wheelchairs. <br /> <br />· Should consider two or more talk tubes with connection from the handicap transfer point to <br /> a bench location external to the resilient surfacing. <br /> <br />· May contain a steering wheel, ball maze or separate arched climber. <br /> <br />· May not contain any see-through bubbles. <br /> <br />Other consideratiOns: <br /> <br />· Color scheme should be considered non-obtrusive.
