I <br />I <br /> <br />,I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Economic Development Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, January 4, <br />1996 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Kenneth Wagner <br />Commissioner Allan Stafki <br />Commissioner David Kent <br />Commissioner Carolyn Nelson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Mary Ullen <br />Commissioner Sam McGhee <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator James Gromberg <br />James Rohrer, Candidate <br />Judy Roff, Candidate <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Stafki and seconded by Commissioner Kent to approve the agenda as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Stafki, Kent, and Nelson. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Stafki and seconded by Commissioner Kent to approve the City Council - <br />Economic Development Commission joint meeting minutes dated November 2, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Stafki, Kent, and Nelson. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Commissioners McGhee and Ullen. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case/41: <br /> <br />Interview Applicants for the Economic Development Commission Vacancy. <br /> <br />At the December meeting of the EDC, Ms. Judy Roff was interviewed for the vacancy created by the <br />resignation of Michael Marquart. The City had also received a letter of interest from Mr. Jim Rohrer. <br />Mr. Rohrer was unable to attend the December meeting, but is available for the January meeting. <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner proceeded to explain the function of the Economic Development Commission and <br />the events in which it participates, such as the EXPO, Business Appreciation Day, etc. Mr. Wagner also <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission/January 4, 1996 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
