Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: ' RESOLUTION #96 -03- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ARTICULATED LOADER WITH SNOW PLOW AND WING ' WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget is $115,500.00 [net of trade] for the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and ' WHEREAS, the Finance Committee, at their January 23, 1996 meeting, authorized the advertisement for bids for the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and WHEREAS, the City Council, on January 23, 1996, ratified the Finance Committee's approval of the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota bid law, bids were advertised and the followin g bids were received: ' DEALER BRAND NEW MACHINE USED MACHINE ' RDO Equipment Co. John Deere $123,575 $107,555 St. Joseph's Equipment CASE $102,545 $ 91,980 AND WHEREAS, the Public Works Supervisor has determined that the used machines look and operate just like the new ones and meet our needs; and r WHEREAS, St. Joseph's Equipment is the lowest bidder meeting the required specifications and including a five year warranty is within the available budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Public Works Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Joseph's Equipment, Inc., in the name of the City of Ramsey, for the purchase of one articulated loader with snow plow and wing at a price not -to- exceed $109,000 [which includes sales tax and five year warranty]. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: 1 and the following voted against the same: 1 )(Ps
