Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: I <br />RESOLUTION #96 -03- ' <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT ALLOCATING $3,000 <br />FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FOR CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH <br />BRW, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey entered into a contract with BRW, Inc. to prepare the <br />transportation element of the Comprehensive Plan update at a stated not -to- exceed amount of <br />$15,880.00; and <br />WHEREAS during he p rocess there arose the necessity to attend additional s meetin <br />g P tY g <br />and provide additional information over and above what had been originally estimated when the <br />process began; and <br />WHEREAS, BRW, Inc. has requested an amendment to the original contract that would <br />bring the not -to- exceed amount to $19,680; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has determined that a contract adjustment of $3,000 is defensible; and I <br />WHEREAS, the original funding source for the contracts was Community Development <br />Block Grant moneys and those funds are exhausted; and <br />WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget is the Council <br />Contingency Fund that can be allocated by Council action. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the Ramsey City Council <br />hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $3,000 from the Council Contingency Fund to <br />fund the contract amendment to BRW, Inc. for the transportation element of the Comprehensive <br />Plan update. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the followin g abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />i <br />
