IJ <br />Base on past participation, donations and T -shirt sales, it is anticipated that the approximately $4,300.00 <br />needed in additional revenue should be easily attainable. In the event that necessary additional revenues <br />are not received, the event itself can be scaled back somewhat. <br />1996 Spring Recycling Day <br />City Staff is currently planning the 1996 Spring Recycling Day which is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, <br />1996. This event will be similar to last year's event and similar materials will be accepted. Staff <br />involved are not directly compensated, they receive hour- for -hour time off in the same pay period. I <br />The event will be held at Central Park from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Final details as to specific items <br />accepted and prices for materials accepted for a fee were not available at the time this case was prepared, <br />although it is anticipated prices will be similar to last year. A complete detail of items accepted and <br />related fees where applicable, will be published in the next Ramsey Resident. <br />Annual Pet Clinic <br />Each spring, the City of Ramsey holds a et clinic whereby residents may bring their dogs and cats in for I <br />Y Y p Y Y g g <br />rabies and distemper vaccinations at a reduced rate. In 1995, a total of 641 cat and dog distemper and <br />rabies vaccinations were administered and the City received $1.00 - $2.00 per shot for a total of <br />$1,003.00. This charge is added to each of the vaccinations to cover the cost of staff time. It is <br />necessary that at least two staff people are present to handle set -up and clean -up. While these <br />individuals are not directly compensated, they receive hour- for -hour time off in the same pay period. <br />The 1996 Annual Pet Clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 1996, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 ' <br />p.m.. Vaccinations will be administered at Park Center at Central Park. The following shots will be <br />offered: <br />• Rabies canine and feline <br />e DHLP -P (canine) <br />[Distemper; Hepatitis; Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza; Parvovirus] <br />o Pan RC -C -P (feline) <br />[Rhinitracheitis; Calici; Panleukopenia; Pneumonitis; Chlamydia] <br />Requests for bids will be distributed to local veterinarians to participate in the 1996 Annual Pet Clinic. <br />The award will go the the veterinarian that can provide the service required in the cost effective manner. <br />The prices associated with the appropriate bidder will be published in the issue of the Anoka Union <br />which should be distributed the weeks of April 19 and 26, 1996, prior to the Pet Clinic on Saturday, <br />April 27, 1996. <br />I� <br />
