$616.00 from the amount of $7,860.00 contained in Resolution #85-111 and to <br />direct the Public Works Depar~nent to transport the City tractor to Long Lake <br />in order to have the side mounted flail mower attached. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Introduction Of Proposed Ordinance To Ame~ City charter; <br /> <br />council noted the introduction of the proposed ordinance to amend the Chapter 3 <br />of the City Charter; a amendment which would delete the required reading of <br />resolutions and ordinances prior to adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilme~ber Cox to set a public <br />hearing date of June 25, 1985, 7:30 p.m., regarding the proposed charter <br />amendment; further to direct that City Staff publish public hearing <br />notification accordingly. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sort, berg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: Administrative Report:. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle informed Council that the changeover in Pinance Department <br />personnel comes at a busy time, i.e., 1985 budget adjustments, preparation of <br />1986 operational budget, long term financial plan and special assessments. <br />Financial items will have to be addressed on a priority basis and hopefully <br />there will be a new finance person on board by August 15. <br /> <br />Case #14: Status Of Cemetery_ Co~raittee: <br /> <br />Councilmember COx stated that the Cemetery Committee has met four times and <br />some of the recommendations being discussed with respect to present camtery <br />sites in Ramsey are: <br /> <br />1. No more burials at the cemtery located adjacent to the airPOrt. <br /> <br />Research titles of neighboring properties at Trott Brook to determine <br />if there is an opportunity to expand the Trott Brook cemetery; <br />proceeds frcm sale of cemetery lots would be deposited in a fund to be <br />used for maintenance of the present site and expansion of it. <br /> <br />3. Or if Council desires, proceed to select a new cemetery site. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmanber Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sort~berg <br />authorizing the Cemetery Conmnittee to research a new cemetery site and to <br />provide City Council with information regarding the cost and feasibility of a <br />city cwned and maintained cemetery. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sort.berg, COx, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
