Active agriculture use and equipment necessary to sustain that use are allowed and not required to be parked on prepared surfaces or screened. All private and commercial use vehicles and equipment must be registered at the address where is it being parked/stored. Section 9.02 (Def'mitions) is hereby amended to include the following definitions: "Driveway" - An on-site traffic lane leading directly to a garage from the closest, street access, the width of which cannot exceed the garage width by more than 15 feet, or in the absence of a garage, a traffic lane to a parking pad that canot exceed 20 feet in width. "Equipment, Commercial Use" - Any motorized or non-motorized apparatus whose primary use is to facilitate the generation of revenue. "Equipment, Private Use" - Any motorized or non-motorized apparatus whose primary use is for personal activities not related to generating revenue or profit. "Motor Vehicle, Commercial Use" - Any device designed to be self-propelled that is eligible for legal operation on the public roads and highways and whose primary use is to facilitate the r generation of revenue. This may include standard passenger automobiles, trucks and vans displaying company Iogos and/or advertisements. "Motor Vehicle, Private Use" - Any device which is designed to be self propelled, is eligible for legal operation on the public roads and highways, and whose primary use is to transport persons and/or property for personal or recreational activities. For purposes of this Chapter, private use motor vehicles shall include operable vintage/classic cars and race cars. "Operable Motor Vehicle" - A vehicle that can be presented in a self-propelled condition within seven (7) days of the City's request for such action. "Prepared Surface" - The entire area under a vehicle or piece of equipment plus a one-foot extended per/meter. SECTION 2. The following language in Section 9.11.10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby repealed: No more than one (1) one-ton motor vehicle bearing a commercial license and no commercially licensed trailer shall be parked or stored in a residential district except when loading, unloading or rendering a service. No commercial vehicle shall be parked or stored in'a resident/al district except for short-term (two (2) hours or less) when unloading, loading or rendering a service. SECTION 3. ~ The fo[lowing official summary of Ordinance g96- has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance.
