Schroeder <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has be~n approached by North Star Land Services Company, representing U.S. West <br />Communications, Inc., with a request to receive an easement for purposes of setting a switching <br />cabinet at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and the Burlington Northern Railway. The location map plus <br />proposed easement documents are attached for your review. The owner has proposed <br />compensation inCthe amount of $850 for the use of the 600 square foot parcel. This level of <br />compensation is intended to compensate the owner (the City) for any expenses incurred as a result <br />of the request. At this point, it does not appear that use of the property as proposed will have a <br />negative impact apon the interests of the City. We have not attempted to negotiate the number up <br />from that of the ioriginal offer.
