I I I I I I I I I I I I I i I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-04- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PLAY EQUIPMENT AT FLINTWOOD TERRACE PARK WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is $32,000 in Tax Increment financing allocated for the Flintwood Terrace play ground, and WHEREAS, the City Council, at their February 27, 1996 meeting, authorized the advertisement for bids for the purchase and installation of the playground equipment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota bid law, bids were advertised and the following bids were received: Vender Product Amount E.F. Anderson Flanagan Sales Value Recreation AND WHEREAS, bids on April 15, 1996; and Landscape Structures Iron Mountain Forge Playworld $32,000 $32,OOO $25,984 the City of Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission reviewed the WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has found the bid from Value Recreation to b~ incomplete; and WHEREAS, the Flanagan Sales bid has been found to be superior to the E.F. Anderson bid in terms of Use design and number of events and meeting the specifications. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 1) RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:.. That tho_ Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator ~~ Supervisor to enter into an agreement with Flanagan Sales in the name of~ purchase and installation of the bid play equipment in an amount not to exceed $3~2¥000. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared d¢ly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of April, 1996.
