A
variance to non-riparian lot size was granted earlier this evening by the Board of Adjustment.

CITIZEN INPUT

Commissioner Deemer stated for the record that he owns property adjacent to this parcel.

Tom Kurak, 15001 Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. - inquired about the proposed trail.

Ms. Frolik outlined the proposal for the trail.

Mr. Kurak stated he lives on a private lake (Sunfish Lake). He declared that if the City puts a trail
back there, the lake is no longer private, and he feels this is a transgression against the current
homeowners on the lake to do such. He felt that a trail would be an eyesore. He reiterated that the
City would be taking away from the neighbors who live on a private lake.

Commissioner Deemer inquired whether Mr. Kurak attended the Park and Recreation Commission
meeting on this plat.

Mr. Kurak stated that he had, and he added that they never discussed doing this. Mr. Kurak
asserted that he would like the trail easement omitted from the preliminary plat.

Patty Kurak, 15001 Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. - stated she fully agreed with her husband.
She questioned whjat the point was for the path or trail. "Where do people go when they get there?
What's the point of leading it to nothing?"

Public Hearing/Planning Commission/March 4, 1996
Page i of 2
