Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-05-m <br /> <br />RESOLUTION, RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT <br />IMPROVEMEI~T PROJECT g95-21 (SUNWOOD DRIVE WEST) <br /> <br />FOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for ~e above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Sunwood <br />Drive from C.R. q56 to C.R. #116, to include watermain and sanitary sewer, bids were received, <br />opened on May 10, 1996, and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />S.R. Weidema, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the M~¢yor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with~ S.R. Weidema, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Sunwood I~rive from C.R. #56 to C.R. #116, to include watermain and sanitary sewer, in <br />the amoun~ of $804,020.62. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ail bidders <br />the deposit~, made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the.,adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ~ <br /> and upon v. ote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
