~ONSULT I NG P- 02 <br /> <br />May 14, 1996 <br /> <br />Mr. Steven Jankowski, P.E. <br />City Engineer <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303-6197 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING STUDY <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY 47 <br />FROM NORTH OF COUNTY ROAD 116 TO NORTH OF COUNTY <br />ROAD 5 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Jankowski: <br /> <br />Based on your request, we are pleased to submit this proposal for professional <br />engineering services in connection with Trunk Highway 47 in the area north of County <br />Road 116 to riorth of County Road 5 in Ramsey. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />In order to provide a comprehensive and effective analysis for this project, we see the <br />need for the f~ollowing work tasks: <br /> <br />Task Group I - Traffic Study <br /> <br />1. Review existing and proposed/future land use and traffic 24 hours <br /> data. ;It will be assumed that existing count data and data <br /> from Previous studies cannot be used to assess existing <br /> traffic volumes at the key intersections within the study <br /> area for design purposes. Complete new traffic counts at <br /> the two key intersections within the study area. <br /> <br />2. Complete study area traffic forecasts/projections and 8 hours <br /> develop design peak hour and daily traffic movements. <br /> <br />3. Analy~ze current traffic operations within the study area, 16 hours <br /> Analyze the capability of existing and proposed street <br /> intersections and roadway system to accommodate the <br /> forec.ast traffic in peak hour periods. Review the traffic <br /> analyFis against the previous studies, conclusions and the <br /> city's ;transportation plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
